15, 2010 - The band and I are on the highway
to Oroville, California. We've had quite some adventures so
far. After the Holdrege NE show, the storm worsened and all
the highways to Yankton, SD, our next gig were closed. Our
next three shows en...ded up being postponed. A bummer but
better to be safe than sorry. The morning we were leaving
Holdrege was so cold the truck wouldn't start. We had it towed
to the Ford dealership that plugged it in to two chargers
and eventually got it to start. Yeah! We began to head for
California. After a fun night in Vegas, we were on our way
to Oxnard when the truck began to die on the highway and we
ended up pulling off in Victorville. Took the truck in to
another dealership but they couldn't find anything wrong with
it, despite it being unable to maintain 40 mph on the highway.
Eventually another repair shop determined the problem lie
in the fuel filter. This meant dropping the fuel tank, and
also meant it wasn’t getting done that day. So we rented
two vans and set off for Oxnard. Got to Oxnard an hour late
for load in but were ready with time to spare for the show.
Had a great show and then headed to Bakersfield for the show
there last night at the Rabobank Theatre. A nice facility
that seats about 3000. Over 2000 at the show. Went great.
Had to drive back to Victorville today to return the vans
and pick up the repaired truck. It is working fine again and
we have about another 3 hours to go before we get to Oroville
tonight. A long day on the road, but this is where you get
"road stories" from. In the end, we were lucky to
have put off the shows in Worland WY and Glendive MT etc because
otherwise the truck would have failed in brutal minus degree
temperatures on a remote highway instead of near civilization
in much warmer southern California. Bottom line, Thanks Universe,
friends, family and fans for keeping us safe.

6, 2010 - Bobby and I drove from Vancouver,
taking 5 days to get here in Omaha, Nebraska. The band landed
today and we begin this tour of the US tomorrow in Holdrege,
NE. Unfortunately, Nebraska is enjoying the worst winter storm
in 25 years. So, please keep us safe in your thoughts. Night
All.
